Comics included in workbook

I wish I had understood that the comics are also included in the workbooks. I accidentally purchased both.

My daughter started reading them

On her own. She really likes comics.

Awesome to learn how our bodies work

Every day we learn something new and, watching how the kids travel through time and to focus on our bodies and actually take notice of how our body work is awesome. We took turns reading two pages at a time. In the beginning it was difficult because I work full-time, and go to school at night so we had to come up with a solution to make it part of our homework. We reconnected with each other, and I actually realized that I was letting my job and school steal my time from my daughter. Besides that we enjoyed how the adventures are connected to real time, the skating, time travelling just to name a few.

Kids ages 9-12 all able to participate

All 3 of my boys (age 12-9) are able to participate in the activities. Some are easier and harder. Each unit was informative and the kids walked away with some new knowledge. I like that it gave a new and fresh view on the body and systems. The smell activity for the senses, the skeleton and ballet moves for skeletal system, and heart model for circulatory were great! The another system that would be great to learn is the neurological system/brain and or nerves.
